Today, Transparency International EU, alongside other NGOs dedicated to transparency and ethics in the European Union, submitted a complaint to the Executive Director of the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA), Dr Sharon McGuinness, concerning the ECHA’s contracts with consultancy Ramboll, following reporting. Ramboll has advised the ECHA on issues related to so-called ‘forever chemicals’, while advising companies on the same topic.
We ask the ECHA to detail on what basis it decided a contract with Ramboll would not constitute a conflict of interest. We also request an urgent review of all of the ECHA’s contracts with Ramboll.
