When European citizens go to the polls, they will be exercising their power to hold their elected representatives accountable. Our election manifesto, spanning all areas of EU anti-corruption, outlines how MEPs can fight to make the EU more transparent, more accountable, and more protected against corruption, so that citizens can assess its actions properly. Our key demands are:
- The EU institutions must strengthen their ethics and integrity frameworks, including by ensuring effective monitoring, oversight and enforcement.
- The EU must step up the fight against illicit financial flows and promote greater financial and business integrity.
- The EU must defend the rule of law against internal and external threats. Civic space must be protected.
