On the 14th of January Transparency International EU and the College of Europe will host the event: “What are the challenges of Transparency and Accountability for EU Institutions?”.

The seminar is designed to improve students’ understanding of EU level accountability mechanisms and to promote active civic participation in monitoring the integrity of EU institutions and the decision-making processes.

The event will start with an opening plenary session in the morning, where general themes of accountability, transparency and civic participation will be highlighted. Interactive workshops will follow that will touch on three thematic areas: the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP), the integrity of eurozone institutions, and conflicts of interest.
